The definition of Terra Sirenum used by the 2019 JGR paper is the region of cratered highlands north of Valles Marineris, bounded on the west by Lunae Planum and on the east by the Chryse Planitia outflow channels. The Tempe Terra region has two mapped bedrock plains.
