The definition of Terra Sirenum used by the 2019 JGR paper is the region of cratered highlands bounded on the west by Ma'adim Vallis (~180E) and the Claritas Rupes on the east (~250E). Much of this region is onlapped by lava flows produced by Arsia Mons. The Terra Sirenum region has 6 mapped bedrock plains.
